With so many packing and moving companies advertising in Pakistan, it can be hard to know who to trust with your belongings. Here’s what to actually look for before you book.
Ask What’s Included in the Quote
A reliable moving company should be clear about what’s covered — packing material, labour, transportation, loading and unloading — rather than a vague single number. Ask specifically whether packing materials and furniture protection are included, or charged separately.
Check the Range of Services
A company that offers a full range — house shifting (/services/house-shifting/), office relocation (/services/office-relocation/), packing services (/services/packing-services/), and loading & unloading (/services/loading-unloading/) — is usually better equipped to handle your specific move, rather than a generic “truck for hire” service.
Ask About Their Coverage Area
If you’re moving between cities, confirm the company actually handles intercity moves (/cities-we-serve/) regularly, not just local shifting. Companies with established routes between major cities tend to plan transportation and timing more reliably.
Request a Survey for Larger Moves
For a full household or office move, a proper company will often offer to assess your items — in person or over a call — before finalizing a quote. This leads to a more accurate quotation and fewer surprises on moving day.
Read Reviews Carefully
Genuine customer reviews (not just star ratings) tell you a lot about how a company actually handles belongings and communicates. Look for specific comments about care, timeliness, and professionalism.
Avoid Companies That Won’t Put Anything in Writing
A trustworthy moving company will confirm your quote, moving date, and services in writing — even a simple WhatsApp message — rather than only verbal promises.
Final Thoughts
The right moving company saves you time, protects your belongings, and keeps the process stress-free. TruckPack provides transparent quotes and a complete range of packing, moving and transportation services across Pakistan.
